Most of the world's biggest car brands understand that going green is inevitable.

Better Place Australia's Chief Executive Officer Evan Thornley addresses one of the chief issues facing the auto industry today; global warming, a factor that has been a major influence on consumers' growing desire for greener vehicles. Better Place Australia is an electric vehicle network and services provider with a mission to end the world's dependence on oil, which Evan has been instrumental in pursuing. Evan has a clear and defined vision of how the auto industry will look in the years ahead, and it looks green.

In this presentation Evan will explore how dealers can find advantages in the growing trend for greener solutions, and overcome the challenge of incorporating this into their business and finding answers for the rapidly changing preferences of car consumers.

Prior to his appointment at Better Place Australia, Evan was personally recruited, in 2006, by the then Premier Steve Bracks to join the Victorian Government. He was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier and has a powerful understanding of what the auto industry has faced and can expect to see well into the future.
