Jean Kittson is one of Australia's most popular and entertaining comediennes whose distinctive humour has captured audiences on stage, screen, radio and print for many years.

She catapulted to national fame in the ABC's The Big Gig where she played a diverse range of characters including the hilarious Veronica Glenhuntly the lovelorn newsreader; Candida the new-age aerobics instructor; and Rose McCloud, the acerbic air hostess.

She then teamed up with fellow comedienne Maryanne Fahey to form Kittson Fahey, making them Australia's first female comedians to have their own television show and earning them a Silver Medal at the New York Television Festival.

As well as writing for numerous magazines and newspapers, including her lively column in THE (SYDNEY) MAGAZINE, a monthly supplement with The Sydney Morning Herald, Jean has an abundance of radio credits to her name, as both a writer and performer.

In recent years Jean has returned to her first love, treading the boards in original works she's written as well as starring in classic works such as Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
