DRIVE.COM.AU PRESENTS BREAKFAST WITH

Shane Jacobson
AUSTRALIAN COMEDY SENSATION (AKA KENNY)

speaker_jacobson_shaneBetter known as Kenny, the loveable, fair dinkum Aussie bloke, comedian Shane Jacobson will jump start your day with his incredibly funny show over this fantastic breakfast courtesy of our good friends at Drive.

Shane's career started when he was just a nipper, performing in amateur theatre productions at just ten years old. By the time he was 18 he had quickly carved out a career in comedy, working the clubs and scoring MC gigs.

The corporate world soon caught onto Shane's talent for captivating a crowd with his infectious humour and ability to impersonate business icons and celebrities, and his career rocketed. Shortly afterwards Melbourne radio station Gold FM offered him a regular spot where his sharply honed character skills thrilled audiences.

Fast forward a few years and Shane won a whole host of coveted awards for his mockumentary film, 'Kenny', including the 2006 AFI Award for Best Lead Actor; 2006 Film Critics Circle of Australia Award for best Actor in a Lead Role; the 2007 Film Ink Magazine Award for the Best Newcomer; and the 2007 Australian Star of the Year Award at the Australian International Movie Convention.

Not surprisingly, 'Kenny' was the highest grossing Australian film of 2006!

Shane has recently completed a 12 week season of The Drowsy Chaperone for the Melbourne Theatre Company alongside Geoffrey Rush, Robyn Nevin and Rhonda Burchmore. He was also host to Channel 9's show 'When I Grow Up'.

We're absolutely delighted to be able to bring this Australian icon and funny-man to the AADA Convention and we invite you to laugh until you cry.
