The MTAA Superannuation Fund is Australia’s
best-performed balanced fund. At a time when investing
is an uncertain business, it is heartening to know your
money is being looked after.
Dr Allan Hawke is a career public servant,
having been Chief of Staff to former Prime Minister Paul
Keating. Dr Hawke has also worked in the Department of
Community Services and Health, has been Secretary of Defence,
Deputy Secretary in the Department of the Prime Minister
and Cabinet, and Secretary to the Department of Transport
and Regional Services.
The Australian Financial Review’s
Boss magazine named him as one of Australia’s top
30 true leaders in its inaugural list in 2001. As well
as being chairman of the MTAA Superannuation Fund Trustee
Board, Dr Hawke is a director of Datacom, a member of the
Foreign Affairs Council; Defence and National Security
Advisory Council; and ACT Advisory Council of AIM, and
sits on the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics
Advisory Board, and the Canberra Raiders board.
As if that is not enough, he is Chancellor
of the Australian National University, where he studied
in the 1970s. And before taking on that role, he was Australia's
High Commissioner to New Zealand.
Not a bad resume, but it is in his position as MTAA Super
chairman that Dr Hawke will address us. With over $6 billion
of our money under management, MTAA Super is the number
one performing superannuation fund in Australia over the
short, medium and long term.
Don't miss this enlightening talk.
